These terms apply to 1Chinese: HSK Exam AI Tutor for iPhone (the "App"), developed by Anton Trantin, an independent developer publishing as Antosha Apps under the 1Buck Apps brand ("we", "us"). The 1Chinese Privacy Policy explains how the App and its optional online services handle data. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the App license; these terms explain our learning and AI services without limiting your mandatory legal rights.

1. Using 1Chinese on your iPhone

You may use the App to learn Mandarin Chinese and prepare for HSK on compatible devices you own or control, subject to applicable law and Apple's terms. Do not submit unlawful content, harm others, bypass access or spending limits, interfere with service security or replay purchases to obtain duplicate credits.

You remain responsible for the content you submit and for having the rights needed to use it. Your content remains yours. We process it to provide the tutoring or answer check you request, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

2. 1Chinese practice and HSK results

1Chinese is designed for HSK 1, 2, 3 and 4 preparation. Lessons, practice tasks, mini exams, mock exams, readiness estimates and AI feedback support learning; they do not guarantee an exam pass, a particular score or acceptance by an authority. 1Chinese is independent and is not an official HSK examination service.

App-created mock exams are original practice materials, not official past papers. Check the current examination requirements with the official organizer. AI can make mistakes in Chinese, transcription, explanations and feedback. Recorded tutor interactions are turn-based, not live calls with a human teacher, and generated tutor audio is synthetic. Transcription-based feedback is not a validated pronunciation or tone score.

3. Free 1Chinese learning and Gold access

Lessons, objective practice, exams and bundled Chinese audio run on the device. Free access includes:

• One lesson per day.
• One new-word deck of six words per day.
• Two practice sets per day.
• One mini exam in total.
• Unlimited reviews of due words and practice in "My mistakes".

Daily limits renew at local midnight on your device. The free mini exam is a one-time allowance, not a daily or weekly allowance. A started session can be completed; an untouched session does not consume its allowance. Full mock exams and AI features are not included in free access.

An active 1Chinese Gold subscription removes these local practice limits, unlocks all mini exams and full mocks, and provides access to AI tutor conversations and checks. AI also requires sufficient credits and a working internet connection. A subscription does not provide unlimited AI use.

Service or provider outages, rate limits and spending safeguards can temporarily prevent an AI request. Failed AI attempts do not spend credits. A retry using the same request can return a completed result for up to 15 minutes without charging twice. If a successful result has expired, starting a new request is a new paid attempt; expiry does not refund the completed attempt.

4. 1Chinese Gold subscriptions through Apple

Gold offers weekly, monthly and yearly auto-renewing plans with no free trial or introductory offer. The standard USD base prices are $0.99 per week, $2.99 per month and $19.99 per year. The App Store purchase screen shows the actual price, currency, taxes where applicable and billing period before you confirm. Prices in other storefronts may differ.

• Apple processes payment using your Apple Account's payment method.
• Your plan renews automatically unless you cancel before renewal.
• Manage or cancel on your iPhone in Settings › your name › Subscriptions › 1Chinese. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
• Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation normally leaves access until the paid period ends; a refund or revoked purchase may end access earlier.
• Apple handles plan changes, billing and eligible refund requests. See Apple's refund instructions. Contact us if you need help with a purchase or credit delivery.

5. 1Chinese AI credits and top-ups

The weekly plan includes 20 credits each week; the monthly plan includes 100 each month; the yearly plan includes 125 each month, rather than a full year's allowance at once. Unused subscription credits expire at the end of their allowance period and do not roll over. Annual monthly periods follow the subscription's start date. The App shows the current balance and allowance dates.

Gold subscribers can buy consumable packs of 100 credits for $2.49, 250 for $6.00, 500 for $11.00 or 1,000 for $20.00 at the USD base price. Apple shows the actual local price before purchase. Packs require an active Gold subscription to buy and use for AI. Purchased credits have no scheduled expiry while their original wallet remains accessible; if Gold ends, the balance remains but AI access requires an active subscription. Subscription credits are spent before purchased credits.

The charge depends on the AI operation and its input and output. Positive charges round upward to 0.01 credit. Credits are an allowance for using our service, not currency. They cannot be transferred between wallets or exchanged for cash, without limiting refund rights provided by law.

6. 1Chinese restoration and changing devices

The App has no user account and no cross-device learning or wallet sync. Learning history is stored on your iPhone; the App does not restore it from our server. Your own iOS backup may preserve local app data according to your backup settings.

The random install identifier and credit-wallet session key are stored in this iPhone's Keychain. iOS may preserve these after reinstalling on the same iPhone, but do not rely on reinstallation as a backup or recovery method. If these credentials are lost, or you move to a different device, there is no account-based recovery or transfer of the old credit wallet.

Restore Purchases restores eligible active App Store subscription access; it does not recreate a lost wallet or replenish previously delivered credits. Each transaction can grant credits only once and remains bound to the wallet that first redeemed it. Previously spent or expired subscription allowances and consumed credit packs cannot be restored as new grants. Check your balance before deleting the App or changing devices, and contact support if you have a purchase-delivery problem.

7. 1Chinese online services and privacy

AI requests pass through our server. OpenAI provides text tutoring and answer feedback; ElevenLabs provides speech recognition and generated tutor audio. Apple handles purchases. Their availability and applicable terms can affect these features. The Privacy Policy explains transmitted text and recordings, technical and purchase records, the encrypted 15-minute result cache and provider retention.

External links and support emails use the destination service's terms and privacy practices. Do not submit sensitive personal details or information about other people when it is not needed for practice.

8. 1Chinese reliability and your rights

We work to provide reliable software, but cannot guarantee that every AI answer is accurate or that the App and online services are always available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss caused by its use. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights, legal guarantees or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
