The only iPhone cleaner you need.
1Cleaner finds similar photos, duplicate videos, big and old files and duplicate contacts — and frees up storage on your iPhone and iPad without sending a single photo anywhere.

Review similar iPhone photos — choose the ones to keep
Ten almost identical shots of the same moment? 1Cleaner groups them and suggests a photo to KEEP, so you can review the extras together instead of photo by photo.
How it works
- Photos taken within 10 minutes of each other are compared on your device with Apple's Vision framework and a compact image fingerprint.
- In similar-photo groups, KEEP considers Favorites and other protected shots before image quality and resolution. In bursts, your chosen frame comes first. These are suggestions you can change; Favorites and protected burst picks are never pre-selected for cleanup.
- You review every group and move the extras to App Bin. Deleting them there takes two confirmations: 1Cleaner's, then the iOS dialog.
Private: photos are analyzed on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, and iCloud-only photos are downloaded only if you ask.
1Cleaner never uploads your photos.
Any app that promotes itself with paid ads outside the App Store — on Meta, Google, TikTok and others — uses tracking: device matching, third-party SDKs and attribution services (MMPs) that pass your data to a chain of companies. 1Cleaner has none of this by design. We don't buy ads, so there is nothing to track: its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
On-device scans
Photo, video, file, contact and calendar analysis runs locally with Apple frameworks. No uploads and no 1Cleaner server.
Offline first
The default scan never touches the network. iCloud items are downloaded only when you ask, and you are told before.
No ads, no tracking
No analytics, attribution or advertising SDKs. No tracking prompt, because there is nothing to track.
No account
Open the app and start cleaning. Purchases go through your Apple Account — we never see payment details.
Nothing deleted by surprise
Nothing is removed until you review it and confirm; photos and videos also go through the iOS confirmation.
No fake alarms
No "your phone is infected", no fake speed boosts, no invented sizes. Only what iOS really lets an app clean.
One scan for everything cluttering your iPhone
Smart Clean brings similar and burst photos, screenshots, possible duplicate videos, duplicate contacts, old calendar events and files in your chosen folders into one review. Your last result and scan date stay saved, so you can come back to them.
How it works
- The default scan works only with items already on your device and never uses the network. Your first scan starts right after setup.
- Photos without another shot within 10 minutes skip the similarity comparison, but still get on-device quality checks. The scan does not decide that a blurry or dark photo is unwanted.
- Possible duplicate videos share length and resolution. The optional Verify Duplicate Videos step compares their bytes and confirms exact copies.
- Open any item full screen and swipe between items. Similar and burst groups have Deselect All and Select Suggested.
- A local scan record lets repeat scans skip most unchanged items. Updating to 1.0.2 rebuilds this record on the first scan; iOS can also clear it.
- After relaunch, an unfinished scan offers Continue or Start New Scan. Continue picks up the saved scan without repeating its completed stages.
Photos and videos worth a second look
Review blurry, dark, possibly accidental and utility photos, including screenshots, receipts and documents. Video collections bring together screen recordings, 4K videos and videos longer than 3 minutes. Nothing in these collections is selected automatically: open the previews and choose what to keep.
Nothing is deleted by the scan. These are review candidates, not proof that a photo or video should go.
Find large and old files in Downloads and iCloud Drive
Old installers, forgotten videos, archives from 2021 — Files Cleanup finds the files that quietly eat your storage in the folders you choose.
How it works
- You pick a folder in the system folder picker, for example Downloads on your iPhone or in iCloud Drive. 1Cleaner remembers it for the next scan.
- It lists files of 20 MB and bigger, and files of 1 MB and bigger that have not changed for over a year.
- Nothing is pre-selected. Tap to preview and choose what you don't need. Files usually move to Recently Deleted in the Files app, where you can put them back.
Honest limits: iOS lets an app read only folders you choose — no app can scan the whole phone or other apps' data. 1Cleaner reads names, sizes and dates and never downloads iCloud-only files.
Swipe through your iPhone photos your way
Start with a month, your largest photos or Smart Clean suggestions. On This Day appears when there are photos or videos from this date in earlier years. Swipe left to mark for App Bin, right to keep.
How it works
- Months is the default. Largest Photos uses a Large Media scan; Suggested uses Smart Clean. If a result is missing, start the scan from the collection's button. Choosing a chip never starts a scan by itself.
- Your saved keep and App Bin decisions carry across collections. Undo takes back the last decision, and opening a collection continues where you left off.
- 10 free swipes a day shared across collections, unlimited with Premium. Both keep and App Bin decisions count.
Move marked items to App Bin when you are ready; they stay in Photos until you confirm deletion there. Largest Photos asks for a new scan after the app restarts.
Keep useful things out of 1Cleaner suggestions
A receipt can matter. A blurry photo can be a memory. Tell 1Cleaner what to leave out, and decide when to review the rest.
Don't Suggest Again
Exclude photos, videos or files from suggestions, or exclude a whole album in Settings › Excluded from Cleanup. Allow suggestions again whenever you want. Exclusions cover Smart Clean, Swipe Clean and Files Cleanup; they don't delete anything or change items already in App Bin. Large Media remains a separate tool.
Local cleanup reminders
Once notifications are allowed, a weekly reminder is on unless you already chose a frequency. Choose Every Month or Never in Settings › Cleanup Reminders. It only invites you to open the app: no automatic scan, no cleanup and no push server. This free setting is separate from Premium support prompts and completion notices.
Find the biggest photos and videos — and shrink them
A few 4K videos can take more space than thousands of photos. Large Media finds them by real size, and compression makes smaller copies while your originals stay until you decide.
Large Media
Photos from 10 MB and videos from 100 MB stored on your device, measured from the real files — never estimated. Quick Scan checks a ranked shortlist; Full Local Scan measures every local item. Select large photos for compression, including Live Photos, HDR and RAW, or open a video in Compress Video. The Older Than 1 Year filter shows videos more than a year old.
Compress video & photos
Videos become HEVC copies at up to 720p, up to 1080p or the original resolution. HDR videos stay HDR, and expected sizes are labeled as estimates. Compress up to 20 photos at a time after confirming the listed tradeoffs: Live Photos become stills, RAW becomes a non-HDR HEIC copy without RAW data, and editing effects can no longer be adjusted in the copy. HDR photos stay HDR on iOS 18 and later, except RAW copies. Copies keep date, place, albums and Favorite; originals stay until you compare and choose. Not every photo can be made usefully smaller.
Merge duplicate contacts into one clean card
The same person saved twice, with the same phone number on both cards? 1Cleaner finds contacts that share a phone number or email and merges them — from Smart Clean or its own Contacts tool.
How it works
- Contacts sharing a phone number or email are grouped, and the shared details are shown.
- The most complete card is suggested as KEEP; tap another contact to keep it instead. Names, phones, emails, addresses, dates, links and profiles from the others are combined into it.
- Every group is checked again right before saving. Deselect any group, for example a family landline.
- Before merging a group, 1Cleaner saves a protected local backup. In Contacts › Backups, you can recreate the removed cards as new contacts without changing the merged card.
Removed cards do not go to App Bin or a system trash; restoring them from Backups needs Full Contacts access. 1Cleaner never uploads your contacts.
Old screenshots, bursts and calendar clutter
Screenshots older than 30 days
Old screenshots get their own group. Nothing is selected for you — one Select All when you are ready.
Burst photos
Every burst becomes a group with your pick and favorites protected, so you keep the one frame that matters.
Old calendar events
Events older than a year from calendars you can edit, never recurring ones — only what you select, checked again before removal. Events skip App Bin and can't be undone in 1Cleaner; recovery depends on your calendar account.
A private place for photos and files
Keep private photos, videos and documents behind a 4-digit PIN or Face ID, inside 1Cleaner on your device.
How it works
- Importing makes a copy; your original stays where it was
- Files are protected by iOS and unreadable while your device is locked
- The vault locks as soon as you leave the app
- After 5 wrong PINs you wait before the next try, up to 1 hour after 10; Face ID still works
- No servers: the PIN never leaves your device and cannot be recovered
- Included in your regular iOS device backup if you use one; deleting 1Cleaner deletes the vault
Real undo, and an honest count of what you cleaned
Cleaned photos and videos wait in App Bin, still in Photos, until you confirm deletion. Tap the Cleaned counter to see photos, videos, files, contacts and events separately.
How it works
- Restore anything from App Bin with one tap — nothing changes in Photos.
- Delete asks you in 1Cleaner first, then iOS shows its own confirmation; Photos keeps items in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
- Sizes are measured on your device, and compression counts only the real saving.
Every tool explains exactly what it does
Tap (i) on any screen: what it finds, how it works, what happens when you clean and where the limits are. No secrets, no fine print.
Made for iPad too
The same private cleaner on the big screen: similar photos, files and Swipe Clean with room to breathe, with the same tools and Premium model.

1Cleaner for iPhone: questions, answered.
Is 1Cleaner free?
Yes. Every tool in 1Cleaner works for free. Your first Smart Clean scan starts right after setup, with no Premium screen first. After that, dismissible support prompts appear before scans, cleanups, compressions and Private Vault imports. Swipe Clean has 10 free swipes a day shared by all collections. Premium removes the support prompts and unlocks unlimited Swipe Clean: $0.99 a week, $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year. Local cleanup notifications are a separate free setting. There are no free trials, and you can cancel anytime in iOS Settings.
Does 1Cleaner upload my photos or files?
No. All scans run on your iPhone or iPad. 1Cleaner has no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, no account and no server that sees your photos, files, contacts or calendar. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected.
How do I delete duplicate photos on iPhone?
Open 1Cleaner and run Smart Clean. It groups similar and duplicate shots taken within 10 minutes of each other. The suggested KEEP photo considers protected items such as Favorites, then image quality and resolution; Favorites and protected burst picks are never preselected for cleanup. Review the selection and move the extras to App Bin. Delete them there: 1Cleaner asks first, then iOS confirms. Photos keeps them in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
How do I find large files on my iPhone?
Use Large Media for the biggest photos and videos, and Files Cleanup for other files. Choose a folder such as Downloads on your iPhone or in iCloud Drive, and 1Cleaner lists files of 20 MB and bigger and files of 1 MB and bigger that have not changed for over a year.
Which photo and video formats can 1Cleaner compress?
Photos: JPEG and HEIC (smaller copies in the same format), Live Photos (the copy is a still photo), Portrait photos and photos edited in Photos (compressed as they look in Photos), and RAW or ProRAW photos (HEIC copies rendered from the RAW data). HDR photos stay HDR on iOS 18 and later, except RAW copies; on those versions, a photo whose copy can't keep HDR is left as it is. Videos become HEVC copies at up to 720p, up to 1080p or the original resolution, and HDR videos stay HDR. Animated images, photos with transparency and other formats such as PNG are left as they are. Before it starts, 1Cleaner lists what each copy loses, and every original stays until you delete it.
Does 1Cleaner keep working when I leave the app?
On iOS 26 and later, 1Cleaner requests continued processing for work you started, but iOS can pause or stop it. On earlier versions, background time is limited. A saved unfinished Smart Clean scan offers Continue or Start New Scan after relaunch. Photo compression can continue with remaining items; video compression has to start again. Cleanup reminders never start a scan by themselves.
Why doesn't my free space grow right after I delete photos?
iOS keeps deleted photos and videos in Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days. Files that 1Cleaner moves go to Recently Deleted in the Files app; iCloud Drive keeps them there for 30 days. Permanently deleting these items releases the storage they still occupy, but the free-space figure may take time to update. With Optimize iPhone Storage, some originals are in iCloud, so the space freed on the device may be smaller than their original file sizes. A file you separately choose to delete permanently does not go to Recently Deleted.
Can 1Cleaner clean the cache of other apps?
No, and no App Store app can: iOS does not let apps read other apps' data. 1Cleaner cleans what iOS allows — your photos, videos, contacts, calendar and files in folders you choose — and says so honestly.
Can I undo a cleanup?
Photos and videos sent to App Bin stay in Photos until you delete them there and confirm in 1Cleaner and then in the iOS dialog. Files usually go to Recently Deleted in Files; after a failed move of a file stored On My iPhone, permanent deletion requires a separate warning and confirmation. Removed contact cards can be recreated from 1Cleaner › Contacts › Backups. Calendar event removals skip App Bin and cannot be undone in 1Cleaner; recovery depends on the calendar account. Compression keeps your original until you choose to remove it.
Does 1Cleaner work on iPad?
Yes. 1Cleaner works on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
Which languages is 1Cleaner available in?
45: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Russian, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian (Bokmål), Danish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Arabic, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Croatian, Slovenian, Greek, Catalan, Hebrew, Malay, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Choose one in Settings › Language; the app switches right away. Some iOS permission and purchase sheets change after the next launch.
Can I keep photos or albums out of cleanup suggestions?
Yes. Don't Suggest Again excludes chosen photos, videos and files from suggestions. In Settings › Excluded from Cleanup, you can exclude whole albums or allow suggestions again. Exclusions apply to Smart Clean, Swipe Clean and Files Cleanup; they do not delete anything, remove items already in App Bin or hide items in Photos. Large Media is a separate tool and does not use exclusions.
Does Smart Clean remember my previous scan?
Yes. The last result and scan date are saved locally. If a scan is unfinished after relaunch, choose Continue to resume it or Start New Scan to begin again. Review candidates can change as your library changes; a saved result is not a new scan.
How do I turn off 1Cleaner cleanup reminders?
Open Settings › Cleanup Reminders and choose Never. Every Week is the default once notification permission is allowed, unless you already chose another frequency; Every Month is also available. These are local reminders to open the app, not automatic scans or reports of new clutter. Never stops cleanup reminders while keeping completion notices for long scans and compressions. This setting is free and independent of Premium.
