1Cleaner Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026 · 1Cleaner for Android
The short version: 1Cleaner works on your Android phone or tablet. We do not collect, sell or share your personal data. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, no account and no developer server that receives your photos, contacts, calendar or files.
This page covers 1Cleaner for Android and is complete on its own. The principles shared by every app of the line are in the 1Buck Apps Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
1Cleaner is developed by Antosha (Anton Trantin, a private individual and independent developer, publishing as Antosha Apps; "we", "us"), as part of 1Buck Apps. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We do not collect personal data. 1Cleaner does not transmit information about you or your usage to us or to any analytics, attribution or advertising provider, and has no account. In Google Play Data safety terms: no data collected and no data shared.
3. What 1Cleaner uses on your device and why
Everything below is processed locally on your Android phone or tablet.
- All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) — the core of Files Cleanup and Smart Clean. The app asks when you start a file scan and again where needed if access has not been granted and you can refuse or revoke it at any time in Android Settings; photo, video, contact and calendar cleanup keep working without it. With this access the app reads the names, sizes, types and dates of files in shared storage to find big files, installers (APK), archives, documents, temporary files, logs, thumbnail caches, leftovers of removed apps, empty folders, duplicate files and media saved by messengers (WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber). To detect duplicates it reads file contents on your device to compare them; file contents are also processed locally for media analysis, previews, compression and Vault copies when you use those tools. Nothing is changed until you confirm: photos and videos you delete go to Android's trash on Android 11 and later (deletion on Android 10 is permanent), and other files are deleted permanently only after a confirmation that names what will be removed. The app does not read other apps' private data folders.
- Photos and videos (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, or only the items you allow) — to find similar photos, burst photos, duplicates, screenshots, large media and possible duplicate videos, to show previews, to create compressed copies and to move items you confirm to Android's trash. The app can also show and empty Android's trash when you ask it to.
- Contacts (read and write) — to find duplicate contacts and merge only the groups you select. Before each merge, the app saves an encrypted local backup of the reviewed cards so you can restore them; it stays on your device until you delete it in the app.
- Calendars (read and write) — to find old events and delete only the events you select. Recurring series are never deleted as a whole.
- Biometrics — to unlock Private Vault. Fingerprint or face data is handled by Android and never available to the app.
- Notifications and background work — a progress notification while a long scan or compression runs. Scan completion is quiet while the app is open; background scans replace one local completion notification. Compression has its own local completion notice. There is no push server.
- External app caches (Android 11+) — when you choose App Caches, Android asks for confirmation and clears external app caches. 1Cleaner does not read private app folders, enumerate installed apps or use Accessibility. It measures free space before and after where available; it does not receive per-app cache details.
- Folder-size changes and protected paths — comparable complete file scans store folder paths, scan dates and aggregate sizes locally to show increases and decreases. Selected protected paths and their contents are excluded from cleanup and these comparisons. Protection does not follow moves or renames or govern Android cache clearing.
Data stored by the app — App Bin selections, Swipe Clean progress, Private Vault files, contact backups, cleanup statistics, protected paths, folder-size scan baselines and comparison reports, cache-cleanup free-space measurements and a scan cache (small samples, similarity fingerprints and file sizes, kept so the next scan is faster) — is stored in the app's private storage and never uploaded. Private Vault files and contact backups are encrypted with a key kept in the Android Keystore on your device. Android cloud backup of the app's data is turned off. Deleting the app or clearing its data in Android Settings removes all of it, including Private Vault items and contact backups.
You can revoke any permission, including All files access, in Android Settings.
4. Purchases, support and children
- Purchases are processed by Google Play and verified on your device with Google Play Billing; we never receive your payment details. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Support emails: if you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to answer you. We do not add you to marketing lists.
- Children: 1Cleaner is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
5. Your choices
You can change or revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings. Deleting the app removes its data from your device, except as described above.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above; material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Questions? Write to [email protected].
