1Cleaner Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026 · 1Cleaner for iPhone and iPad
The short version: 1Cleaner works on your iPhone or iPad. We do not collect, sell or share your personal data. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, no account and no developer server that receives your photos, contacts, calendar or files.
This page covers 1Cleaner for iPhone and iPad and is complete on its own. The principles shared by every app of the line are in the 1Buck Apps Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
1Cleaner is developed by Antosha (Anton Trantin, a private individual and independent developer, publishing as Antosha Apps; "we", "us"), as part of 1Buck Apps. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We do not collect personal data. 1Cleaner does not transmit information about you or your usage to us or to any analytics, attribution or advertising provider, and has no account. In App Store terms: Data Not Collected.
3. What 1Cleaner uses on your device and why
Everything below is processed locally on your iPhone or iPad.
- Photos and videos — to find similar photos, duplicate videos, screenshots, burst photos and large media; to offer manual review collections for blurry, dark, possibly accidental and utility photos, screen recordings, 4K videos and videos longer than three minutes; to show previews, create compressed copies and delete items you confirm in the iOS dialog. Image-quality checks run on the device and store scores and labels, not recognized text, crops or face data. These checks offer review candidates and do not decide what you should delete.
- Files in folders you choose — Files Cleanup reads the names, sizes and dates of files only inside folders you pick in the system folder picker, to list large and old files. File contents are opened only when you tap a file to preview it. Selected files usually move to Recently Deleted in Files. If iOS cannot move a file stored On My iPhone there, the app can offer permanent deletion after a separate confirmation. Access to a folder is remembered on your device and can be removed in the app at any time.
- Contacts — to find duplicate contacts and merge only the groups you select. Before each merge, the app saves a protected local backup of the reviewed cards. You can recreate removed cards as new contacts without changing the merged card; the backup stays on your device until you delete it in the app.
- Calendars — to find events older than a year and delete only the events you select.
- Face ID — to unlock Private Vault. Biometric data is handled by iOS and never available to the app.
- Notifications — local notifications for completed long scans or compressions and optional cleanup reminders. After you allow notifications, reminders default to Every Week unless you already chose a frequency. In Settings › Cleanup Reminders, choose Every Week, Every Month or Never. Never turns off cleanup reminders independently of completion notifications. A reminder does not start a background scan. There is no push server.
Data stored by the app — App Bin identifiers, shared Swipe Clean decisions and progress, Private Vault files, protected contact backups, your vault PIN verifier, cleanup statistics, exclusion preferences (photo, video and album identifiers and file locations), and your cleanup-reminder frequency are stored locally and never uploaded by 1Cleaner.
To make repeated scans faster, a protected local scan cache stores tiny 24×24 photo samples, similarity fingerprints, image-quality scores and labels, measured file sizes and video fingerprints. The last Smart Clean result, scan dates and unfinished-scan state are also saved locally so you can review the result again or choose Continue after reopening the app. The scan cache and saved Smart Clean state are excluded from device backups; iOS may clear the scan cache when storage runs low. Other app data follows your iOS device-backup settings.
Deleting the app removes its local data, including Private Vault items and contact backups, with one exception: the PIN verifier is kept in the device-only iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted. If you reinstall 1Cleaner, it resets the leftover vault PIN when you first open the empty vault. iCloud analysis, when you explicitly start it, uses Apple's Photos framework to download your own items from your iCloud library to your device.
You can remove folder access in the app and revoke permissions in iOS Settings.
4. Purchases, support and children
- Purchases are processed by Apple and verified on your device with StoreKit; we never receive your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Support emails: if you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to answer you. We do not add you to marketing lists.
- Children: 1Cleaner is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
5. Your choices
You can change or revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings. Manage your exclusions in 1Cleaner › Settings › Excluded from Cleanup and reminder frequency in Settings › Cleanup Reminders. Exclusions hide suggestions; they do not delete items or remove items already in App Bin. Deleting the app removes its data from your device, except as described above.
6. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above; material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes. Questions? Write to [email protected].
