1Polish Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026 · 1Polish for Android
Your progress stays on your device. AI uses online services. 1Polish has no ads, analytics or tracking SDKs and needs no user account. Local practice and bundled audio work offline. When you use AI, your submitted text, relevant learning context or voice recording passes through our server to the providers needed to answer you.
This policy covers 1Polish: B1 Exam AI Tutor for Android, including its optional AI and purchase services. It is specific to this app; the 1Buck Apps policy describes the line's shared principles.
1. Who is responsible for your data
1Polish is developed by Anton Trantin, an independent developer publishing as Antosha Apps under the 1Buck Apps brand ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the processing described here. Contact us about privacy or support at [email protected].
2. Learning data on your Android device
Your profile and learning preferences, study plan, practice answers, assessment results, progress, mistake journal, conversation history and saved feedback are stored in the app's private storage. Audio files used for playback may also be cached locally. We do not upload your entire learning history for cloud backup or analytics.
The app excludes its data from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes your local history and the installation's access to its credit wallet. There is no 1Polish account or cloud history recovery. Restoring a Google Play subscription does not restore your learning history or previous credit balance. See the credit and restoration terms before clearing data or changing devices.
3. Data sent when you use 1Polish AI
AI is an optional online part of 1Polish. You can continue using local practice without it. Each day, you can use one free text assessment of up to 200 words and one free recorded spoken answer of up to 60 seconds, including grading. These free assessments are also available to subscribers. Additional AI use requires an active subscription and sufficient credits. All AI requests require internet access; free and paid AI use the same server and providers described below.
- Text tutoring and assessment: we send the text you submit and the context needed for the task, such as recent conversation turns, your selected topic, learner language, task instructions, answers or mistakes, through our server to OpenAI. The response provides tutoring, feedback or grading.
- Spoken answers: when you choose to record and submit an answer, your recording goes through our server to ElevenLabs for transcription. Its transcript may then be sent to OpenAI with the task context for a reply or assessment.
- Tutor speech: text for generated tutor replies is sent through our server to ElevenLabs to create audio. This can include text derived from your conversation. We do not use your recording to create a clone of your voice.
These are recorded voice turns, not live calls. Bundled listening lessons and vocabulary recordings do not send your voice to an AI provider. Please avoid including sensitive personal details or information about other people in a learning prompt or recording.
We use AI content to provide the feature you request. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. The providers also process data under their own applicable terms and privacy controls. See OpenAI's privacy policy and API data controls, and ElevenLabs' privacy policy. Provider retention can extend beyond our temporary result cache; this app does not promise zero retention by every provider.
4. Connection, security and credit records
No user sign-up is required, but online services use technical identifiers to authenticate an installation and maintain its credit wallet. Our server processes installation and session identifiers, protected authentication credentials, request identifiers and hashes, request status, timestamps, operation and provider identifiers, usage quantities, free-assessment allowance use, credit charges and balances. These records help deliver results, enforce free-use allowances, prevent duplicate charges, protect the service from abuse and reconcile purchases.
Network connections also expose your IP address and connection information to our hosting and network-security services, including Cloudflare. Rate-limit identifiers use hashes; hashing does not make every technical record anonymous. These service records are not advertising or behavioral-analytics profiles. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We keep authentication, wallet, request-accounting and purchase records on the server. The accounting database does not store your prompts, recordings or AI response content. Completed AI responses, including submitted answer text, transcripts, generated feedback or audio, are encrypted in a temporary retry cache that expires after 15 minutes, so an interrupted request can recover its result without a second charge. Cache expiry does not establish the deletion time of every infrastructure backup or provider-held copy.
Connection and service-security logs may contain technical information needed to operate and protect the service. Uninstalling the app does not delete server-side financial or security records. Such records are retained for service operation, purchase verification, fraud prevention, dispute handling and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to ask about data linked to your installation; there is no permanent server archive of your learning history.
5. Purchases and support
Google Play processes subscriptions and credit-pack payments. We do not receive your card number or payment-method details. The app and our server process purchase identifiers or tokens, product and plan identifiers, subscription periods, verification results and credit grants to check access and deliver credits. An opaque wallet identifier can be supplied to Google Play to bind a purchase to the correct wallet. Subscription tokens needed for verification are stored encrypted; credit-pack tokens are stored as hashes. See Google's privacy policy.
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to include, such as a screenshot or purchase receipt. We use them to answer your request and resolve the issue. Do not send a password, card details or unnecessary sensitive data. We do not add support correspondents to marketing lists.
6. Android permissions
- Microphone: used when you choose to record a spoken answer. You can refuse or revoke it in Android Settings. A submitted AI recording is processed as described above.
- Notifications: used for the optional daily study reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally; they do not send your progress to a push service. You can turn the reminder off in the app or revoke notifications in Android Settings.
- Internet: used for optional AI, authentication and purchase verification. Local practice and bundled audio do not require an AI connection.
1Polish does not request access to your contacts, location or camera, and has no advertising-ID permission.
7. Purposes and legal grounds
Where European data-protection law applies, we process the data needed to provide requested AI services and purchases to perform our agreement with you. Security, abuse prevention and responding to support requests rely on our legitimate interests in providing a reliable service, subject to your rights. We may retain records to comply with applicable legal duties. Android permission choices control the relevant device access; you can decline optional AI or stop submitting content at any time.
AI, payment and infrastructure providers may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Their applicable terms and privacy notices describe processing locations and transfer safeguards. We do not claim that all processing stays on your device or within the EU.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You can use local learning features without AI, avoid submitting personal details, revoke microphone or notification permission, disable the study reminder and remove local app data through Android Settings. Removing data is irreversible and does not cancel a Google Play subscription.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of personal data we hold, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Write to [email protected] to make a request. We may need information to identify the relevant installation or purchase; without an account we may be unable to link a request to particular technical records. We may need to retain some records for legal obligations or disputes and will explain any applicable limits.
Deleting data on your phone does not automatically remove copies already processed by an AI provider. We will help with applicable requests concerning data processed for our service; each provider's own privacy notice also explains its rights-request process.
9. Changes and contact
If our practices change, we will update this page and its date. For privacy questions or concerns, contact [email protected].
