1Scanner Web Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026 · 1Scanner Web (onebuckapps.com)
The short version: 1Scanner Web works inside your browser. Your PDFs, pictures, signatures, stamps and passwords are processed on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies.
This page covers the PDF tools at onebuckapps.com/1scanner-web/ and the task pages that open them (such as /compress-pdf/ or /sign-pdf/), in every language. 1Scanner for Mac, iPhone and iPad, and Android have their own policies; the principles shared by every app of the line are in the 1Buck Apps Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
1Scanner is developed by Antosha (Anton Trantin, a private individual and independent developer, publishing as Antosha Apps; "we", "us"), as part of 1Buck Apps. Contact: [email protected].
2. Data we collect
We do not collect personal data. The tools have no account and send nothing about your files or your use of them to us or to any analytics, attribution or advertising provider. The pages set no cookies.
3. What the tools use in your browser and why
- PDFs and pictures you add — read by your browser on your device to show their pages and to make the new files you ask for (signed, merged, split, compressed or password-protected copies, or page pictures). New files reach you as downloads from your own browser. Nothing is uploaded, and your original files are never changed.
- Passwords — the password you type to open a protected PDF is kept in the page's memory only while it is open, so the copies you make can keep it. A password you set on a copy goes only into that file. Passwords are never stored or sent anywhere.
- Signatures and stamps — images you add from a photo, a drawing or a ready stamp. The paper is removed in your browser, and they are kept in your browser's storage for this site (IndexedDB) so they are there next time, until you delete them or clear the site's data. Your browser may also clear them on its own.
- QR codes and barcodes — read from the pictures and PDFs you add, in your browser. Found codes are kept only while the page is open. Links are checked from their text alone; nothing is looked up online.
- Clipboard — read only when you paste a picture to look for codes, and written only when you copy a code's content.
- Settings — the last size limit you chose for compression, whether the support note was shown and whether you closed the note about the Android app are kept in your browser's local storage for this site.
4. Network use
- Loading the pages — your browser downloads the pages and the tools' code (including pdf.js, pdf-lib and ZXing, all served from onebuckapps.com, no third-party servers). As with any website visit, your IP address, the time and standard technical request data reach Cloudflare, our network provider, and our web server. Web server and network logs can contain the IP address, time and requested path and are kept for a limited time. They never contain your files.
- App banner on iPhone and iPad — the pages name 1Scanner's App Store ID, so Safari can show its own banner for the 1Scanner app. Safari fetches that banner from Apple by itself; the page sends nothing to Apple. The Android note is part of the page and loads nothing from Google until you tap it.
- Links you open — a link from a QR code opens in a new tab only when you choose to open it. The websites you visit handle data under their own policies.
5. Donations, support and children
- Donations are voluntary. They are blockchain transfers that you make yourself in your own crypto wallet to the addresses on our support page. The tools never see them and do not connect to any wallet. Blockchain transfers are public by design.
- Support emails: if you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to answer you. We do not add you to marketing lists.
- Children: 1Scanner Web is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
6. Your choices
Delete any signature or stamp in the tool at any time, or clear this site's data in your browser's settings to remove everything it stored.
7. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Questions? Write to [email protected].
