1Cleaner vs Swipewipe: swipe-to-clean, two ways

By Antosha, the developer of 1Cleaner · September 23, 2026 Swipewipe's prices and features from its US App Store page, October 5, 2026; privacy label October 5, 2026

Swipewipe turned cleaning a camera roll into a game: swipe right to keep, left to delete, one month at a time, with streaks and an "On This Day" feed. It is a great idea, which is why 1Cleaner has Swipe Clean. The difference is what surrounds it: Swipewipe is a photo app on $3.99-to-$9.99 weekly plans with a tracking label; 1Cleaner is a full cleaner at $0.99 a week with nothing collected. This page is written by the 1Cleaner developer; every fact about Swipewipe links to its public App Store page.

The 30-second verdict. For the swipe experience alone, Swipewipe is more playful and more mature. For everything else, 1Cleaner does more: duplicate videos, big files, contacts, calendar, a Private Vault and photo and video compression, none of which Swipewipe's listing mentions, at $0.99 a week instead of $3.99 to $9.99, or $19.99 a year instead of $29.99. Swipe Clean is free for 10 swipes a day and unlimited with Premium. Swipewipe's privacy label declares tracking and third-party advertising linked to you; 1Cleaner's says Data Not Collected.

A photo cleaner sees your entire camera roll. That is the most personal dataset on your phone, which is why we think the privacy label matters more here than in almost any other category. 1Cleaner has no analytics, advertising or attribution SDK, so there is nothing to declare.

1Cleaner is on the App Store. To switch:

  1. Cancel the Swipewipe subscription in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.

  3. Swipe left to mark for App Bin, right to keep. Move marked items to App Bin when ready; delete them there after 1Cleaner's confirmation and the iOS dialog. Review Recently Deleted in Photos before permanently removing anything.
